Our Practice

Queensland Hips and Knees is home to the private practice of Dr Morgan, Dr Gamboa and their team.  We have a great deal of experience in treating patients with a variety of hip and knee disorders. Dr Morgan is a veteran in the business and has unparalleled experience in looking after patients with these disorders, having been in practice since 1988. Dr Gamboa joined Dr Morgan in the practice in 2010 and has injected new energy and concepts to the practice. Our main aim is to provide you with best, and latest in orthopaedic healthcare.  We believe in putting you, our patient, in the centre of the healthcare team and making you a partner in a concerted effort to bring you a better quality of life.  Every effort is exhausted to treat you in a comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere that allows you to learn more about your condition and understand the various options you have in its management.

Standards of care

We endeavor to provide you with quality care throughout the entire healing process from the initial consultation to the final post-operative visit. Our primary consulting room, located at 8th Floor of the Brisbane Hospital Specialist Centre, provides a pleasant and comfortable area for you while you wait to be seen. Further to this, Dr Gamboa also consults at several satellite locations in Chermside, North Lakes, Sunnybank, Hawthorne, and Capalaba.  The wide coverage allows for you to arrange appointments at locations nearer your place of residence or work, and allows for options where parking may be more readily available than in the city.

Patients for surgery are admitted at the D Floor of the Brisbane Private Hospital at Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill.  The hospital provides comfortable and affordable rooms and boasts of meals that would satisfy the most discriminating tastes.  The floor has a very capable and friendly staff who are more than happy to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

All operative procedures are performed in the well equipped, state of the art theatres on the 5th Floor of the Specialist Centre. We use the latest technology in joint replacement surgery and practice the highest standards in theatre sterility to ensure the lowest possible infection rates.  The surgical team is donned with special theatre attire during joint replacement surgery to further lessen the possibility of contamination.  We may utilize recent innovations such as computer assisted surgery and navigation and patient-matched custom implants in select cases. Post-operatively, the latest techniques in pain management are practiced to facilitate a faster recovery and get you up and about at the soonest possible time.   Our aim is to deliver to you healthcare in the most pleasant and painless way possible.
